How to play Basic Blackjack
Blackjackis a classic casino game, popular amongst many millions of casino playersworldwide.
Many online casino players think that therules of blackjack are too difficult and turn to easier games such as rouletteand slot games. However this is not the case and even those new to the world ofonline casinos can pick it up in no time at all.
The fundamental rule in blackjack is simple, players need to form a hand with avalue as close to 21 as possible. Do not exceed 21, or you’ll go bust and losethe round as well as your wager.
Once players have selected a basic bet value, simply click to instruct thedealer to start the round. Both the dealer and the player are instantly dealttwo playing cards from a standard 52 card deck. Players are permitted to viewthe dealer’s first card, to analyse their hand.
Blackjack permits players to either hold their hand and stand against thedealer, (i.e. if you have a great hand, stand) or draw one more card. Playersare free to continue taking more cards until they are happy they have a handwith a good chance of beating the dealer. Players that have a hand that exceeds21 go bust and lose the round.
Players that manage to hit blackjack (ace and a 10 value card) have anun-beatable hand. However if the dealer also has blackjack, the round is void.
Many blackjack games have a soft 17 rule,meaning the dealer must hit when they are holding a hand value below 16, butstand with 17 or more. This means the dealer must essentially go for broke whenthey have a mid-level hand, but are unable to hit a very high value hand oncethey exceed 17.
